NASHVILLE http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/jawaan-taylor-jersey-cheap , Tenn. (AP) Titans would reward him with a new multimillion-dollar contract. So the quirky and gifted left tackle was ready when the Titans signed him Friday to a five-year, $80 million contract, making Lewan the NFL’s highest-paid offensive lineman.Lewan came out to meet reporters flanked by his offensive line teammates to the theme song from ”The Dukes of Hazzard,” wearing an all-white suit topped off by a white cowboy hat, with a cigar in his mouth. Center Ben Jones even brought along Lewan’s stuffed beaver, Steve, a locker room decoration.”I actually got the suit done like just a couple of days before camp and literally had no idea if I was going to sign or not, but might as well be prepared,” Lewan said. Why come out as Boss Hogg?”We did a whole deal as a joke, but in all seriousness this is unbelievable,” Lewan said of his teammates. ”You’re not going to find a better O-Line room, that’s for sure.”The Titans did not disclose specific terms, but multiple reports said Lewan will receive $50 million guaranteed. That tops the four-year, $62 million deal Nate Solder got from the New York Giants in March. The team wrapped up negotiations before its second practice of training camp after talks progressed quickly enough that Lewan reported on time Wednesday .The Pro Bowler skipped the mandatory minicamp in June because of stalled talks. Now he’ll be averaging $16 million a year under the new deal with a team looking for a second straight playoff berth.”I’m extremely happy to be part of this team for a few more years, and I think it’s going to be a special few years for all of us,” Lewan said.Coach Mike Vrabel thanked general manager Jon Robinson and his staff for wrapping up Lewan’s deal. The first-time head coach didn’t have any issue with Lewan’s colorful celebration.”My job is make sure that they work on the field Josh Oliver Jersey , and part of this process is having fun,” Vrabel said. ”Part of becoming a team is having fun and working hard together and having fun together.”Lewan, who turned 27 last weekend, was the 11th overall selection out of Michigan in 2014. The 6-foot-7, 309-pounder had been due $9.34 million this season under the fifth-year option the Titans picked up last year. He has started 53 of 58 games, including every game the past two seasons, protecting quarterback Marcus Mariota’s blind side.Lewan’s new deal keeps the Tennessee starting offensive line intact for Vrabel. The only remaining issue on the line concerns right tackle Jack Conklin, who is recovering from a torn ligament in his left knee that he suffered during the divisional playoff loss in New England. With Lewan as ringleader, the Titans’ offensive linemen have been protecting Mariota on the field and having fun off the field. Their best highlights have come at playoff games for the NHL’s Nashville Predators with the linemen waving catfish and drinking beer before the puck dropped. Lewan even chugged a beer using a catfish last spring. The beaver, with its own fedora, was a gifted to Lewan from his now-wife. The beaver pops up in different places around the locker room.”This city’s been awesome,” Lewan said. ”I think with some of my antics and some of the stuff the O-line does, I don’t think we’d be welcome very much on other teams. I think Nashville’s taken us in just fine.”— BALTIMORE (AP)As a reward for going three days between games, the Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Ravens now get an extended break before returning to action. Boy, can they use it. The Dolphins (4-3) have to find a way to get their offense moving, and they have to decide whether to use Jay Cutler or Matt Moore at quarterback. The Ravens (4-4) can only hope quarterback Joe Flacco uses the time off to recover from the concussion he received in a 40-0 win over Miami on Thursday night. In the midst of one of his best performances of the season http://www.jaguarscheapstore.com/quincy-williams-ii-jersey-cheap , Flacco was hit high by Kiko Alonso while sliding at the end of an impromptu run near the end of the second quarter. Flacco’s helmet flew off his head, and the 10-year quarterback appeared wobbly as he struggled to his feet. Flacco was initially placed in concussion protocol, and by halftime was ruled out. ”Joe had a concussion and a cut ear,” coach John Harbaugh said. ”They were stitching it up without any anesthesia, so he’s a tough dude. That’s as much as I know.” The coach hopes that tough dude is ready to play on Nov. 5, when Baltimore faces Tennessee on the road. Miami, meanwhile, was looking for so much more from Moore in his first start of the year. Subbing for the injured Cutler (ribs), Moore went 25 for 44 for 176 yards. If Cutler is healthy on Nov. 5, he will likely start against Oakland. Some things we learned about the Ravens and Dolphins: A BIT TOO SIMPLE: With a team that’s been held scoreless twice in five weeks and a fill-in quarterback, Miami coach Adam Gase has tried to simplify the offense for the Dolphins. The problem with that is, it’s become too easy for the defense to recognize what’s going on. ”One hundred percent, that’s what it is,” Gase said. ”That’s what happens when you cut it back like that: It becomes a little easier to defend. We got to start doing something right.” SQUASHING THE RUN: The Ravens came into the game dead last in the NFL in run defense after going a league-record 21 straight seasons holding teams to less than four yards per carry. Opponents were averaging 4.2 yards per carry, and Baltimore was determined to put a stop to that. ”That’s not what we’re about, giving up a bunch of yards in the running game Ryquell Armstead Jersey ,” Harbaugh said. ”They took it personally. I’m sure they did.” The Ravens allowed the Dolphins only 45 yards on 19 carries, a 2.4-yard average. AN EASY FIX?: In a lot of ways – communications issues, the inability to stop the run, not pressuring the opposing quarterback – the Dolphins defense has only itself to blame for its shoddy performance. Accepting responsibility for the self-inflicted wounds and eliminating them is where defensive end Cameron Wade thinks Miami’s turnaround must start. ”As much as that’s frustrating, that’s probably the easiest thing to fix,” he said. NOT SATISFIED: Winning a game in record-breaking fashion can be intoxicating. To Terrell Suggs, the Ravens’ most lopsided shutout in franchise history means they simply have to work harder to do it again. Baltimore lost four of five before coming up big against the Dolphins in a must-win situation. ”We have a lot of work to do. We are 4-4,” Suggs said. ”Mediocrity is the worst thing in the world.” SHUTOUT ENCORE: The Ravens now have two shutouts in a season for the first time since 2006. ”We have a standard to keep in Baltimore,” defensive tackle Brandon Williams said. ”What you saw is exactly who we are: a hard-nosed team, a defense that runs to the ball and stops the run, gets a bunch of tackles in the backfield.” The backfield played well, too. C.J. Mosley and Jimmy Smith scored on interception returns, the fourth time in Ravens history that the defense has tallied two TDs in a game. —
